Home
The view the app opens on: Record, the people you met this week, the week of meetings, open to-dos, summaries to review and the sprint.
Home is where PrivateGoat opens. It answers "what does the app know about my week?" without opening a meeting. Everything on it comes from data already on the Mac.
What is on it
| Part | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Greeting | "Good morning" (or the time of day), today's date and a Record button |
| People you met this week | The people the call window named this week, with See all for the People page |
| The week | One column per day, Monday to Sunday, with each recorded meeting and the faces of who was there. The arrows move a week back or forward, Today returns to this week |
| To-dos | Your open to-dos, with Open for the To-dos place |
| To review | Meetings whose summary suggestions still want a look |
| Sprint | The active Jira sprint and Open Daily Scrum, only if you connected Jira |
In a wide window, the to-dos, the review list and the sprint sit beside the week; in a narrow one, below it.
How to use it
- Open it. Choose Home at the top of the sidebar. The app starts here every time, on this week.
- Record. Press Record to start a meeting, the same as ⌃⌥R.
- Open a meeting. Click it in its day.
- Go back. After opening something from Home, View → Back (⌘[) or the Back button in the toolbar returns you here.
The sidebar
Home is the first of the sidebar's places: Home, Meetings, Timeline and, if you use Claude Code or Codex, Chats; then To-dos and, with Jira, Jira under Work; your knowledge bases under Knowledge; and People, Settings and About at the bottom. Settings opens in the main window, beside the sidebar. See Meeting history for the Meetings page and Menu bar and settings for Settings.
Settings
None. Home has no settings of its own. It follows the rest of the app: without Jira, there is no sprint card; without names from the call window, the people row says how they appear.
What is stored
Nothing new. Home reads the meetings, people, to-dos and Jira copy that the app already keeps (see What stays on your Mac). The week you moved to is not remembered: Home opens on this week again.
What leaves your Mac
Nothing. Home makes no network request; the sprint card reads the local Jira copy.
When it is off or fails
- Nothing recorded yet: the week says so: "Nothing recorded yet. Press Record, and your week fills in here."
- No names from the call window: the people row says "The people you meet appear here once the call window names someone."
- The vault is locked: meetings whose title is in the vault show as "Locked meeting" in their day, and a line at the top offers Unlock….
- No Jira: the sprint card is not shown.
