Export minutes
The meeting as minutes: a Markdown file or an A4 PDF, built from the notes and the action items.
Export is for the person who was not in the call. It writes the meeting's minutes — title, date, the summary sections and the action items as a checklist — as a file you can send, print or commit. The document is built from the stored notes and the action items you have not dismissed, not by dumping the raw transcript.
How to use it
- Open the meeting → Transcript tab.
- Open the ⋯ menu → Export Minutes.
- Choose Markdown… or PDF….
- Pick where to save. The save panel starts in your Documents folder.
The PDF is laid out and paginated by the app for A4; the Markdown file keeps the same structure as plain text.
Settings
None. Each export asks where to save; there is no template to configure and no default folder to set beyond the save panel's own.
What is stored
Wherever the save panel points. The exported file is a copy: the meeting folder is unchanged, and nothing is added to the meeting.
| Item | Where |
|---|---|
| The exported minutes | The location you choose in the save panel |
| The source of the export | The meeting folder's summary.md, summary.json and action items |
What leaves your Mac
Nothing. The PDF is rendered offscreen on this Mac; an export makes no network request.
When it is off or fails
- The save panel is cancelled: nothing is written.
- A write or print failure: it is reported in the meeting's status line rather than failing silently.
- A meeting with no summary: the export still works. The document says "This meeting has not been summarised yet." and still carries its action section; write the summary first if you want the sections (see Summaries and action items).
- Possible action items: they are exported too. The checklist takes every suggestion you have not dismissed, whatever the inspector's collapsed Possible action items (N) group shows.
